Childbirth Education

Let’s learn how to work with labor, not against. In order to do this your understanding needs to reach beyond the the stages of labor and how to do a hip squeeze. Let’s learn the why and the how. This is where we start, the physiology of birth. When you understand this, everything about supporting labor and coping with labor makes sense. This foundation can be a guide through your entire pregnancy and birth process.

Each à la carte class is designed to build on top of the next, and offered on a repeating schedule. You have the option of registering for a “bundle” or individual sessions.

If you are a new parent, then the Comprehensive Birth Class is for you. If you are supplementing your education from another class or an online course, if you would like to gain more knowledge in a specific area, then you can select the class(es) that fit your needs.

Who doesn’t love a goodie bag?

I incorporate tools you could use in your labor, and interactive activities to make learning about birth a little more fun! All of which you get to keep. I also send you home with labor snacks and a few extra goodies as well as a manual that outlines everything we will cover.

When you Instructor is a Birth Doula

I am a birth doula, occasionally a birth may coincide with a class. My goal is to remain on schedule, I will plan to have a backup instructor. If that is not possible (as these instructors are parents + doulas themselves) then the FOUNDATIONS CLASS will move to the following Saturday and Thursday classes will reschedule to the following Tuesday (same time).

Once you have registered you will receive an invoice for the full class fee. This can be paid with credit, debit, HSA, (3% processing fee) or mailed check (no fee). Knowledge is power, preparation equips us, and we are strengthened by support.

We cannot predict or control the circumstances of birth. But we can learn, prepare, and build a team. This empowers us to be a part of our care, and to work with our labor rather than be in fear of it. You are already more than capable of birthing your baby. I hope to help you believe that. You are stronger than you know!
