I do not care what kind of birth you have — a home-birth, a scheduled cesarean, epidural hospital birth, or if you birth alone in the woods next to a baby deer — I care that you have options, that you are supported, and that you were respected.”

Meet The Doula

Hi, I’m Katie

As a doula and educator, I walk along side families through pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. I offer childbirth education classes, labor support, and placenta encapsulation.

Inviting someone new into your story and your space is not something I take lightly. I value time with my clients and opportunity to build relationship. Experience has taught me that pregnancy, birth, and parenting are not one size fits all. This is why I support my clients first through understanding their individual needs, then through utilizing my knowledge and eight years of experience around the transition to parenthood. I myself have felt the difference in compassionate care where I was seen and heard. In the unpredictable, wild, and incredible ride of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum this is invaluable and exactly what I hope to offer you.

Kind Words

"Katie is a fantastic labor doula. We knew from our prenatal visit that she would be an incredibly calm, steadying presence, which proved to be invaluable during my labor. Her confidence and unflappability throughout the process was immensely reassuring to my husband and I as first time parents. She provided tireless physical support that gave me so much relief during contractions, and I don’t know if I could have made it through the pushing phase without her help. And her follow up care has been kind, thoughtful, and so supportive. We have absolutely loved working with her."

"My labor was about 40 hours and ultimately ended in a transfer from the Birth Center to the hospital with an unplanned c-section. Katie was extremely calm and reassuring every step of the way which was exactly what I needed. Towards the end when I felt the weakest, she helped me remember how strong I am. Her support throughout the entire process; from pregnancy to Labor to breastfeeding and postpartum was exactly what I needed!"
